Discover London's Trafalgar Square

A trip to London is never fully complete without a visit to London's Trafalgar Square. Located in between The Strand, Haymarket and Leicester Square, it's home to The National Gallery which overlooks the iconic square.

For those art lovers amongst you, visiting The National Gallery should be on your list. Open daily from 10 am, it offers visitors the chance to discover European art, masterpiece by masterpiece. Situated just off Charing Cross Road, overlooking the entirety of Trafalgar Square, it offers free entry making it a hotspot for the capital’s visitors.

In the middle of the square, you can find Nelson’s Column, standing at an incredible 169 feet, it's hard to miss. Constructed between 1840 and 1843 it was built to commemorate Admiral Horatio Nelson, who died at the battle of Trafalgar in 1805.

Located on the adjacent side of the square, you can find Admiralty Arch, A pedestrian and road crossing that allows access from Trafalgar Square to The Mall. It was initially commission by  King Edward VII in memory of his mother Queen Victoria and designed by Aston Webb. Its magnificent architecture still wows those who look upon it and is a popular attraction in the West End.
